We propose a possible approach for the remote monitoring of infection risk in people with multiple sclerosis, especially those on immunosuppressant drugs, during COVID-19 pandemic. We developed a digital triage tool to be sent to patients to quickly identify people with high risk of COVID-19 infection. This tool will also limit unnecessary accesses to the MS centers reducing the risk of spreading the infection.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic which in our region, Veneto (Italy), dates back to February, we were confronted with several challenges, but with a constant aim of keeping our Stroke Unit COVID-free. For this reason, in addition to creating a dedicated hot-spot as a pre-triage just outside the Emergency Department, together with the Neuroradiology Unit we obtained a mobile CT unit that could be used by COVID-positive or COVID-suspected patients. Furthermore, thanks to the collaboration with colleagues from different specialties (Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine), dedicated areas for COVID patients were activated. ⋯ We would like to share our experience and send a clear message to keep a high attention on stroke as an emergency condition, because we have observed a decreased number of patients with minor strokes and TIAs, longer onset-to-door and door-to-treatment times for major strokes, and a reduced number of transfers from spokes. We strongly believe that the general population and family doctors are rightly focused on COVID. However, to remain at home with stroke symptoms does not mean to "stay safe at home".

Frontal lobe epilepsy (FLE) is the most common epilepsy syndrome in the pediatric population; however, brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the children with FLE is frequently normal. We use both cortical thickness and brain volume measurements to report on cortical changes in children with FLE. Our aim was to determine cortical thickness and brain volume changes on 3 Tesla MRI of children with FLE and normal brain magnetic resonance imaging. ⋯ Cortical thinning in frontal and extra-frontal lobes and volume loss in a variety of brain regions were found in children with FLE.

Ultrasonography of the optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) is used for the non-invasive assessment of increased intracranial pressure (ICP). ONSD values are usually obtained by averaging the measurements of the two eyes, but asymmetric ONSD dilation is possible, leading to potentially inaccurate ICP estimation when using binocular averaging. In addition, few data are available about the asymmetry of the ONSD and the use of the maximum ONSD value between eyes for raised ICP detection. The aim of the study was to evaluate the interocular ONSD asymmetry in healthy subjects and patients with intracranial hypertension (IH) by ultrasonography and to investigate whether the maximum ONSD could be as useful as the binocular assessment. ⋯ Interocular ONSD asymmetry occurs both in healthy subjects and, more consistently, in patients with IH. Both binocular and maximum ONSD may be useful markers for increased ICP detection.

Sensorimotor Perceptive Rehabilitation Integrated (SPRInt) program: exercises with augmented movement feedback associated to botulinum neurotoxin in idiopathic cervical dystonia-an observational study.
Idiopathic cervical dystonia (ICD) is a focal dystonia affecting neck muscles. Botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT) is the first-line treatment of ICD and different physical therapies (including exercise) are often proposed as adjunct treatments. However, the actual effectiveness of exercise in ICD is unclear. The aim of the current work is to assess the potential effectiveness of the Sensorimotor Perceptive Rehabilitation Integrated (SPRInt) exercise program as adjunct therapy for ICD. ⋯ SPRInt plus BoNT can be more effective than BoNT alone in improving cervical dystonia patients' difficulties in the activities of daily living.
