Meta AnalysisEficacia y seguridad de la analgesia preventiva con gabapentinoides para pacientes sometidos a cirugía artroscópica de hombro: una revisión sistemática y metanálisis.
To assess the efficacy and safety of preemptive analgesia with gabapentinoids for patients undergoing arthroscopic shoulder surgery. ⋯ Preoperative use of gabapentinoids was able to reduce postoperative pain, total morphine consumption, and morphine-related complications following arthroscopic shoulder surgery. Further studies should determine the optimal dose and whether pregabalin is superior to gabapentin in controlling acute pain after shoulder surgery.

Review Case Reports[Exposed dislocation of the first and second cuneiform bones and fracture in situ of the third cuneiform bone of the foot: Clinical case and literature review].
The isolated fracture/dislocation of the cuneiform bones is a not very frequent event and only a few cases have been reported in the literature. This type of event is presented as a variation of the Lisfranc injuries. The present report shows a rare clinical case of a patient with dislocation of the first and second cuneiform bones and fracture in situ of the third cuneiform bone of the left foot. ⋯ An exhaustive inspection of the injury is recommended through the analysis of X-ray images, CT scans or magnetic resonance imaging, especially in unexposed lesions in order to apply the appropriate treatment and be able to achieve a prompt recovery of the patient.

Review Case Reports[Toddler's fracture, case report and review of literature].
The suspected diagnosis of a Toddler's fracture can often be complicated by an unclear history, the lack of specific clinical findings and the absence of obvious changes in the initial radiographs. We present the case of an infant of 3 years and 7 months old with a history of falling from her own height with a rotation mechanism of the left pelvic limb. The purpose of this paper is to describe the etiopathology, diagnosis and therapeutic management of these fractures. ⋯ The clinical history, physical examination and the use of imaging studies help identify Toddler's fractures, pathology that must be known to medical specialists for an ideal treatment.
