[Subtrochanteric fractures treated with interlocking endomedullary nailing].
Determine the efficacy of the treatment of subtrochanteric femur fractures with interlocking endomedullary nailing. ⋯ We recommend the use of a monoblock-type of interlocking endomedullary nail to treat subtrochanteric fractures. This method is an alternative to closed interlocking endomedullary nailing.

[Continuous skeletal traction in multifragmentary fractures of radius and ulna combined with cast].
Fractures of the distal third of the radius are frequently encountered in emergency services. Until recently considered as benign, however, they represent a group of numerous therapeutic problems, as debated in anatomical, radiological and clinical studies. ⋯ Treatment of complex distal radius fractures with plates and screws for maintaining anatomic reduction are not applicable in our socioeconomic context. This study was aimed to prove that the Cole-Obletz method permits to maintain adequate reduction, it is reproducible, and is achievable at low costs.

[Indentification of lumbar foramina with percutaneous pins. A cadaveric study].
Patients diagnosed with a lumbar disc hernia and nerve root compression, in which conservative treatment failed are candidates for lumbar discectomy. This technique often results in failed spine surgery syndrome which includes different complications such as arachnoiditis, discitis, and sac tears resulting in pain and neurological deficit. This has led to research of minimally invasive surgery in which the medullary canal is not involved and is performed under local anesthesia. In order to perform this technique, the anatomical and radiological identification of the intervertebral foramina is necessary. Kambin's triangle is an anatomical safe place for percutaneous procedures. ⋯ (1) Foramina need to be perfectly identified with image techniques so that the surgical instruments can be placed safely. (2) Skin lines are a safe and reliable guide. (3) The technique is safe if performed through Kambin's triangle.

Case Reports[Brachial plexus injury after interescalenic block in a patient with arthroscopic acromioplasty. Report of a case].
The brachial plexus is formed by union of C5, C6, C7, C8 and T1 root levels. Bachial plexus injuries can be categorized by ther causative mechanism as gunshot injuries, sharp injuries, traction injuries, motor accidents and radiation. The objective of the present study is to show the risk of interscalenic block as permanent lesion of brachial plexus in arthroscopic acromioplasty surgery. ⋯ She was re-evaluated by anesthesiology the next day, and they thought of prolonged action of the anesthetic used (bupivacaine). An electromyography was performed and it reported moderate axonal plexopathy, with affection of superior trunk and lateral cord. We must take into account the possibility of lesion of brachial plexus by interscalenic block and not by arthroscopic surgery.

Review[Instability from the distal radioulnar joint: reconstruction and evolution of dorsal triangular fibrocartilage complex ligament].
Dorsal and palmar radio ulnar ligaments are part of the triangular fibrocartilage complex and are the principal stabilizer of this articulation. The distal radio ulnar joint provides not only pronation and supination to the forearm, but also it's basic for strength. The objective of this study is to evaluate the functional results of the dorsal radio ulnar joint ligament reconstruction in patient with distal radio ulnar instability. ⋯ The mean complaint was pain for all patients, weakness in 9 patients and instability in 7. The mean follow up was 2 years 4 months, with a range from 6 months to 8 years. The patients refer totally satisfied, 8 of them, partially satisfied 2 and one patient insatisfied.
