[Distribution and mRNA Expression of BAMBI in Non-small-cell Lung Cancer.].
BAMBI structure is similar with that of the receptor I of TGF-beta, it broadly participates in the control of TGF-beta signaling. The aim of this study is to investigate the expression and its significance of BAMBI in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and explore the relation between BAMBI and clinical and pathological factors of NSCLC. ⋯ The expressions of BAMBI significantly increase in NSCLC. It might be a common affair in carcinogenesis of NSCLC.

[A randomized study of docetaxel plus cisplatin versus paclitaxel plus cisplatin in previously untreated advanced non-small cell lung cancer.].
Docetaxel is an active agent in the second-line treatment for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), many clinical trials have demonstrated that it has similar efficacy to common first-line regimens for NSCLC. A randomized study was conducted to compare docetaxel plus cisplatin (DC) versus paclitaxel plus cisplatin (PC) for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer as the first-line regimen. ⋯ DC has similar response rate and survivals with PC, and its toxicity is well-tolerated. Docetaxel plus cisplatin is an effective first-line treatment of non-small cell lung cancer.

[Expression and clinical significance of Pokemon in non-small cell lung cancer].
Proto-oncogene Pokemon is the special transcription inhibitor of ARF,which can regulate cell growth and differentiation by ARF-P53 path.It may be the important monitoring target of tumor because of being upstream region of many tumor suppressor genes and proto-oncogenes.The aim of this study is to explore the clinical significance of Pokemon gene in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC). ⋯ Pokemon is expressed in NSCLC and it may be identified as a new diagnostic marker.High expression of Pokemon may indicate poor prognosis of patients with NSCLC.

[Carinal resection and reconstruction combined with heart and great vessel plasty in the treatment of locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer].
Up to now, locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer simutaneously involving carina, heart and great vessels is still regarded as contraindication for surgical treatment. However, the prognosis is very poor in these patients treated with chemotherapy and/or chemoradiotherapy. The aim of this study is to summarize the clinical experiences of carinoplasty combined with heart and great vessel plasty in the treatment of 84 patients with locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer involving carina, heart and great vessels or both in our hospital. ⋯ (1) It is feasible in technique that carinal resection and reconstruction combined with heart, great vessel plasty in the treatment of locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer involving carina, heart and great vessels simutaneously; (2) Multiple modality therapy based on carinal resection and reconstruction combined with heart and great vessel plasty can remarkably increase the survival rate, and improve the prognosis and quality of life in patients with locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer involving carina, heart and great vessels.

[A randomized control study on the clinical effects of ramosetron in prophylaxis of nausea and vomiting induced by cisplatin chemotherapy in patients with lung cancer].
Cisplatin has remarkable anti-tumor effects against various malignancies. Of its severe adverse reactions, nausea and vomiting are considered to be dose-limiting factors in cisplatin therapy. The anti-emetic properties of 5-HT₃ receptor antiagonists, such as ramosetron, can reduce nausea/vomiting. In order to evaluate the clinical efficacy of ramosetron injection against nausea and vomiting in treatment of cisplatin, a randomized control study was performed to compare the efficacy of anti-nausea and vomiting between ramosetron and ondansetron. ⋯ Ramosetron can effectively prevent the nausea and vomiting induced by cisplatin chemotherapy. The efficacy of ramosetron in controlling nausea and vomiting is better than that of ondansetron.
