Artificial Intelligence ECG to Detect Left Ventricular Dysfunction in COVID-19: A Case Series.
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) can result in deterioration of cardiac function, which is associated with high mortality. A simple point-of-care diagnostic test to screen for ventricular dysfunction would be clinically useful to guide management. We sought to review the clinical experience with an artificial intelligence electrocardiogram (AI ECG) to screen for ventricular dysfunction in patients with documented COVID-19. ⋯ One other patient had a pre-existing EF less than or equal to 40%, accurately detected by the algorithm before and after COVID-19 diagnosis, and another was found to have a low EF by AI ECG and echocardiography with the COVID-19 diagnosis. The area under the curve for detection of EF less than or equal to 40% was 0.95. This case series suggests that the AI ECG, previously shown to detect ventricular dysfunction in a large general population, may be useful as a screening tool for the detection of cardiac dysfunction in patients with COVID-19.

Correlations Between COVID-19 Cases and Google Trends Data in the United States: A State-by-State Analysis.
To evaluate whether a digital surveillance model using Google Trends is feasible for obtaining accurate data on coronavirus disease 2019 and whether accurate predictions can be made regarding new cases. ⋯ This study documents the feasibility of syndromic surveillance of internet search terms to monitor new infectious diseases such as coronavirus disease 2019. This information could enable better preparation and planning of health care systems.

Review[Depressive disorders: An often underestimated comorbidity in diabetes].
People with diabetes often have a depressive disorder in addition to diabetes, which makes therapy more difficult and worsens the prognosis of the disease. Depression is an often underestimated risk factor in the context of diabetes. The aim of this article is to illustrate the significance of depression in diabetes for the course of the disease and to provide an overview of the most important diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations for practice.

While the routine performance of terminal ileum (TI) intubation during colonoscopy procedures is perceived to have a low yield, its utility during colonoscopies performed for specific indications have not been well studied. ⋯ Ileoscopy may have the greatest utility in evaluating suspected inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients, but may not add value to the evaluation of constipation and positive FOBT.

Observational StudyPregnancy Outcomes in COVID-19: A Prospective Cohort Study in Singapore.
Pregnant women are reported to be at increased risk of severe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) due to underlying immunosuppression during pregnancy. However, the clinical course of COVID-19 in pregnancy and risk of vertical and horizontal transmission remain relatively unknown. We aim to describe and evaluate outcomes in pregnant women with COVID-19 in Singapore. ⋯ The majority of COVID-19 infected pregnant women had mild disease and only 2 women with risk factors (obesity, older age) had severe infection; this represents a slightly higher incidence than observed in age-matched non-pregnant women. Among the women who delivered, there was no definitive evidence of mother-to-child transmission via breast milk or placenta.
