Non-specific chronic low back pain (LBP) is a debilitating disease that profoundly impacts patients' daily physical function and quality of life. Gua sha therapy, as an easy-to-use and noninvasive complementary modality, has been widely used clinically in patients with non-specific chronic LBP. The aim of this study is to test the potential benefits and harms of gua sha therapy on patients with non-specific chronic LBP. ⋯ This systematic review will provide more evidence regarding the clinical usage of gua sha therapy for non-specific chronic LBP.

Adolescent wrist trauma can cause epiphyseal dysplasia and even distal radius deformity malunion. At present, there is no uniform treatment standard for the malunion of the distal radius of adolescents. Osteotomy and autologous bone grafting are currently one of the effective ways to treat the disease. We treated an adolescent patient with distal radius deformity malunion, and used this surgical method to treat the patient and achieved satisfactory results. ⋯ This rare case provides valuable insights for hand surgeons. High-resolution computed tomography scan and 3-dimensional reconstruction can help us effectively diagnose wrist diseases. Small lesions on the articular surface of the distal radius will change the position and function of the wrist joint, and cause traumatic arthritis of the wrist joint. Therefore, it is very important to reconstruct the normal structure of the distal radius articular surface. Osteotomy and autologous iliac bone grafting are effective treatments for serious distal radius fracture malunion in the adolescent patient. During the operation, care should be taken to protect the osteoepiphysis to avoid bone dysplasia.

Immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)-related hypophysitis is a rare disorder which often requires invasive pituitary gland biopsy to confirm its diagnosis. We present a case whereby peripheral organ lesion biopsy and imaging findings were sufficient for the diagnosis. ⋯ Based on the diagnosis of IgG4-related disease in the retroperitoneal organ and response to corticosteroid treatment, this patient was diagnosed with IgG4-related hypophysitis. This hypophysitis caused enlargement of the pituitary gland with resulting nerve compression, causing abducens nerve palsy. When IgG4-related hypophysitis is suspected, a thorough examination of other organ lesions and biopsy should be considered.

Immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) is a major cause of secondary hypertension (HT) of renal origin - a significant prognostic factor of IgAN. In children, similar to HT, prehypertension (pre-HT) is becoming a significant health issue. However, the role of secondary HT and pre-HT (HT/pre-HT) in the progression of pediatric IgAN remains unclear. ⋯ HT/pre-HT in pediatric IgAN patients is an important modifiable factor. A relationship is observed between HT/pre-HT and its determinants, especially segmental glomerulosclerosis. Potential therapeutic approaches for IgAN with HT/pre-HT might be directed toward the management of coagulation status, active lesions, and hemodynamics for slowing disease progression.

Case report: severe myoclonus associated with oral midodrine treatment for hypotension.
Midodrine is widely used in the treatment of hypotensive states, there have been no reports of myoclonus associated with midodrine use in hypotension with chronic kidney disease. ⋯ Oral midodrine is widely used in the treatment of orthostatic hypotension, recurrent reflex syncope and dialysis-associated hypotension and the adverse effects are mostly mild. However, clinicians should be alert for midodrine-induced myoclonus, especially in patients with CKD.
