Oral health is fundamental to health and well-being across the life span. Dental caries (cavities) and periodontal disease (gum disease) are common and often untreated oral health conditions that affect eating, speaking, learning, smiling, and employment potential. Untreated oral health conditions can lead to tooth loss, irreversible tooth damage, and other serious adverse health outcomes. ⋯ The USPSTF concludes that the current evidence is insufficient to assess the balance of benefits and harms of routine screening performed by primary care clinicians for oral health conditions, including dental caries or periodontal-related disease, in adults. (I statement) The USPSTF concludes that the current evidence is insufficient to assess the balance of benefits and harms of preventive interventions performed by primary care clinicians for oral health conditions, including dental caries or periodontal-related disease, in adults. Dental caries and periodontal disease are common adult oral health conditions and potentially amenable to primary care screening and prevention. ⋯ Screening questionnaires were associated with moderate diagnostic accuracy for periodontal disease. Research is needed to determine benefits and harms of oral health primary care screening and preventive interventions.

The glaucomas are a group of conditions leading to irreversible sight loss and characterised by progressive loss of retinal ganglion cells. Although not always elevated, intraocular pressure is the only modifiable risk factor demonstrated by large clinical trials. It remains the leading cause of irreversible blindness, but timely treatment to lower intraocular pressure is effective at slowing the rate of vision loss from glaucoma. ⋯ Although modern surgical innovations aim to be less invasive, many have been introduced with little supporting evidence from randomised controlled trials. Many cases remain undiagnosed until the advanced stages of disease due to the limitations of screening and poor access to opportunistic case finding. Future research aims to generate evidence for intraocular pressure-independent neuroprotective treatments, personalised treatment through genetic risk profiling, and exploration of potential advanced cellular and gene therapies.

Clinical efficacy of "Sancai therapy" for hyperplasia of the mammary glands: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Hyperplasia of the mammary glands (HMG) is the most prevalent breast disease and can become malignant if left untreated. Although "Sancai therapy" has been widely used to treat HMG, its efficacy has not yet been systematically reviewed. This study aims to systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy of Sancai therapy for HMG treatment and provide a clinical basis for its future use. ⋯ INPLASY202380124.

Review Case Reports
Sintilimab-related diabetes mellitus and psoriasis: A case report and literature review.
With the popularity of ICIs in different oncology treatments, immune-related adverse events have raised concerns, mostly occurring in skin and endocrine gland injury. This disease involves different organ systems and presents with a variety of clinical manifestations. Most patients with immune checkpoint inhibitor-induced type 1 diabetes are reported to have no combination of autoimmune disease. We report a case of Sintilimab-related diabetes mellitus and psoriasis. ⋯ The clinical manifestations of immune checkpoint inhibitor induced diabetes mellitus are variable, and in this case the patient presented with unique primary symptoms. Therefore, it is crucial to accumulate relevant cases, understand the different clinical presentations and identify the underlying mechanisms of the disease. This will provide further evidence for early therapeutic intervention in similar patients in the future.
