Ischemic stroke (IS) is the most common cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease in clinic. Qiangli Tianma Duzhong Capsule (TMDZ capsule) has significant therapeutic effect to IS. Therefore, it is great significance to explore the mechanism of action of TMDZ capsules in the treatment of IS. ⋯ This study reveals the molecular mechanism of TMDZ capsules in the treatment of IS by integrating molecular docking with a network pharmacological strategy, which not only confirmed the clinical efficacy of TMDZ capsule, but also laid the foundation for further experimental research.

Traditional Chinese Medicine for non-motor symptoms in Parkinson disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis of RCTs.
Parkinson disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disease, which has impacts on the patient's quality of life due to non-motor symptoms such as sleep disorders, anxiety, and depression. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has gained increasing attention in the diagnosis and treatment of PD with the concept of "overall concepts and dialectical treatment." Therefore, exploring the characteristics of TCM in the treatment of PD can improve the level of diagnosis and treatment of PD. ⋯ TCM is effective and safety for improvement of depression, anxiety, autonomic dysfunctions, and quality of life in PD. Zishen Pingchan granules was particularly effective for depression; and Pingchan granules was particularly effective for quality of life.

Review Case Reports
Severe hemolytic disease of the newborn caused by JKb antibody: Two case reports and literature review.
JKb antibody rarely causes severe hemolytic disease in the newborn except in 1 case, required blood exchange transfusion but later died of intractable seizure and renal failure. Here we describe 2 cases of JKb-induced severe neonatal jaundice requiring blood exchange transfusion with good neurological outcome. ⋯ JKb antibody-induced hemolytic disease of the newborn usually leads to a benign course, but severe jaundice requiring blood exchange transfusion may occur. Our cases suggest good outcomes can be achieved in this minor blood group-induced hemolytic disease of the newborn if identified and managed early enough.

Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is one of the main complications of diabetic microangiopathy. The pathogenesis of DKD is very complex, including autophagy, inflammation, oxidative stress. Although a series of treatment intervention have achieved certain results in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy, still cannot reverse the kidney injury of diabetic nephropathy. ⋯ However, the exact mechanism of mitophagy regulation in DKD has not been elucidated. Recent advances in autophagy have renewed interest in these signaling pathways and molecules in the pathogenesis of DKD. Investigating autophagy and its associated signaling molecules may provide potential unique targets for therapeutic intervention in DKD.

To understand and analyze the prevalence and treatment of hypertension among residents aged 45 years and older in northern and southern Anhui Province to provide an opportunity to improve awareness, taking into account and standardizing hypertension management. Using a stratified cluster random sampling method, Anhui Province was divided into northern and southern Anhui regions using the Yangtze River as the boundary. The prevalence rate, awareness rate, treatment rate, control rate, related risk factors and complications of hypertension in the community population aged ≥ 45 years in Anhui Province were investigated using a questionnaire survey and a physical examination. ⋯ The risk factors for hypertension were older age, rural residence, male, obesity, low education level, high salt diet, smoking, excessive drinking, poor sleep, insufficient exercise, a family history of hypertension, a history of diabetes, and a history of hyperlipidemia. The most common complication of hypertension in middle-aged and elderly people in Anhui Province was cerebrovascular disease, followed by cardiovascular disease. Calcium channel blockers were the most commonly used antihypertensive drugs in middle-aged and elderly people in Anhui Province, followed by angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor or angiotensin receptor blocker receptor antagonists.
