Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a common clinical degenerative disease of the joints, which is prone to occur in middle-aged and elderly people. At present, the disease cannot be cured, it is mostly treated with drugs to relieve symptoms, improve joint function, protect cartilage, such as glucosamine, anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs, and but the efficacy is not lasting and the recurrence rate is high. Hydrotherapy has become a long-term alternative therapy in China and is receiving increasing attention. We perform a protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis to determine the efficacy and safety of a hydrotherapy program in individuals living with knee OA. ⋯ The findings from this review will establish the quality of currently available evidence, which will determine the need for further studies to establish the true effect size of hydrotherapy in knee OA.

Childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a rare but severe multisystem autoimmune/inflammatory disease with marked heterogeneity between patients, causing anything from mild to life-threatening disease. We performed a protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of cyclosporine in childhood-onset SLE. ⋯ This study may be beneficial to health policymakers, clinicians, and patients with regard to the use of cyclosporine in childhood-onset SLE.

Endometrioid adenofibroma of ovary: A case report and review of literature.
Endometrioid adenofibroma is a benign epithelial neoplasm of the ovary, most of which are often unilateral. The symptoms of endometrioid adenofibroma are often nonspecific and misleading. Therefore, a full understanding of the characteristics, diagnosis, and treatment methods of this disease is of great importance. In this study, we report a 34-year-old woman who was found with an unidentified mass on the right ovary during the physical examination 3 years ago with nosymptoms or signs. ⋯ Endometrioid adenofibroma is a benign epithelial neoplasm of the ovary. Complete surgical resection is required and rare cases can recur. Postsurgical pathologic and immunohistochemical testing can confirm a diagnosis of endometrioid adenofibroma. It is important to understand of the key points of differential diagnosis of the disease due to the different prognosis and clinical treatment.

S100 family members (S100s) are small molecular EF hand calcium binding proteins and widely expressed in many tissues and organs. S100s are shown to be biomarkers of disease progression and prognosis in various types of cancers. Nevertheless, the expression patterns, function, and prognostic values of S100s and its association with tumor-infiltrating immune cells in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD) patients have not been systematically clarified. ⋯ We found significant correlations among S100s and tumor-infiltrating immune cells. Cox proportional risk models revealed that B cells, Dendritic cells and S100A1/A5/A6/A8/A9/A13/A14 were significantly related with outcomes in PAAD patients. These results suggest that S100A2/A3/A10/A11/A14/A16 may serve as new diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for PAAD patients and provide new clues for immunotherapy in PAAD patients.

To investigate the characteristics of elderly-onset primary Sjögren syndrome (pSS) using chest high-resolution computed tomography and pulmonary function tests (PFTs). The data of 102 patients with pSS with interstitial lung disease were retrospectively analyzed. The chest high-resolution computed tomography, PFTs, and clinical and laboratory data were evaluated based on the age of onset: elderly-onset pSS (EopSS) (≥65 years) versus adult-onset pSS (AopSS) (<65 years). ⋯ Usual interstitial pneumonia is more common in the EopSS group. Although there is no significant difference in ventilation dysfunction between the EopSS and AopSS groups, small airway disease is more common in the EopSS group, while restrictive ventilatory dysfunction is more common in the AopSS group. Therefore, the EopSS group has its own characteristics and it is worth studying and noting.
