To investigate the association between diabetes symptoms and physical activity (PA) levels among middle-aged and older Chinese adults. Data for this study were obtained from 2018 Charles data. Z test, logistic regression analysis, and linear hierarchical regression analysis were performed in 5352 individuals aged ≥50 years with complete information. ⋯ The risk of diabetes of middle-aged and elderly people in China increases with age, while the risk of diabetes of middle-aged and elderly people with low level of PA is higher. The risk of diabetes is high among middle-aged and elderly people who are old, have poor self-evaluation health, suffer from hyperlipidemia, memory disease, and asthma. The middle-aged and old people should increase their PA levels to prevent and improve diabetes.

This study aimed to explore critical genes as potential biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of colorectal cancer (CRC) for clinical utility. To identify and screen candidate genes involved in CRC carcinogenesis and disease progression, we downloaded microarray datasets GSE89076, GSE73360, and GSE32323 from the GEO database identified differentially expressed genes (DEGs), and performed a functional enrichment analysis. A protein-protein interaction network was constructed, and correlated module analysis was performed using STRING and Cytoscape. ⋯ The expression of CDK1 and CCNB1 gradually decreased with increasing tumor grade. CDK1, CCNB1, and PCNA can be used as potential markers for the diagnosis and prognosis of CRC. These genes are overexpressed in colon cancer tissues and are associated with low survival rates in CRC patients.

Effects of intensive speech treatment on Mandarin speakers with Parkinson's Disease: A review.
Benefits of intensive speech treatment have been documented for a range of speech signs in English speakers with Parkinson's Disease (PD). However, the answer to a critical question that whether the same treatment benefits speech variables including intelligibility in Mandarin speakers is still unclear. In order to develop a targeted speech treatment for Mandarin speakers with PD, we reviewed the efficacy of intensive speech treatment to improve vocal loudness and functional communication and discuss possible explanations for efficacy on Mandarin speakers with PD. ⋯ The existing evidence from treatment efficacy studies of intensive speech treatment provides support for improving vocal loudness, speech intelligibility, pitch and rate in Mandarin speakers with PD. Our future research will continue to work to conduct a large sample multicenter randomized controlled trial to provide high quality evidence and understand the basic mechanisms accompanying treatment-related change.

Comprehensive treatment of Cronkhite-Canada syndrome: A case report and literature review.
Cronkhite-Canada syndrome (CCS) is currently considered to be a non-hereditary disease, which is relatively rare clinically. It is also known as polyposis hyperpigmentation alopecia nail dystrophy syndrome, it is a syndrome characterized by gastrointestinal polyposis and ectodermal changes, the main manifestations are gastrointestinal symptoms, skin pigmentation, alopecia, and hypothyroidism. ⋯ CCS is rare, there is no specific treatment, and traditional Chinese medicine may can greatly relieve the clinical symptoms of patients. However, it's still having to be verified by a large sample, multi-center, long-term treatment follow-up studies.
