Narcolepsy is a relatively rare brain disorder caused by the selective loss of orexin neurons. Narcolepsy is divided into Narcolepsy Type 1 (NT1) and Narcolepsis Type 2 (NT2). ⋯ For this disease, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) therapy has its own characteristics and advantages, especially the combination of acupuncture and medicine in the treatment of this disease in TCM, which has made considerable and gratifying progress. The purpose of this review is to introduce the frontier progress of neurobiology of narcolepsy, and to explore the syndrome differentiation and treatment of narcolepsy with the combined use of TCM and Western medicine combined with TCM.

Traditional Chinese Exercises (Qigong therapy) are more and more popular for chronic pulmonary obstructive disease (COPD) patients for the treatment and rehabilitation, however, the comparative effectiveness and safety remains unclear. Our study aims to compare the pros and cons of these exercise interventions for COPD by implementing a network meta-analysis. ⋯ The network meta-analysis was designed to update and expand on previous research results of clinical trials to better evaluate the effectiveness and safety of different interventions of traditional Chinese exercises for COPD.

Coronary heart disease (CHD) is the leading cause of human death in the world and a public health problem of global concern. As a common arrhythmia in CHD, premature ventricular contractions are very likely to progress to fatal arrhythmias, resulting in serious adverse consequences. At present, the treatment of premature ventricular contractions due to CHD mainly focuses on catheter ablation, beta-blockers and antiarrhythmics. Both require ongoing monitoring because relapses may lead to redevelopment of cardiomyopathy, and there are varying degrees of indications and side effects. Several clinical studies have shown that Xinmai'an can effectively control the occurrence of premature ventricular contractions and reduce the risk of recurrence. However, there is currently no systematic review evaluating its effectiveness. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide strong evidence-based medical evidence for Xinmai'an tablet in the treatment of premature ventricular contractions due to CHD. ⋯ The results of this study will provide a basis for the selection of treatment options for premature ventricular contractions due to CHD.

Vitamin D might be beneficial in diabetic patients with ischemic heart disease through its favorable effect on metabolic profiles and biomarkers of inflammation and oxidative stress. We performed a protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis to assess whether vitamin D supplementation could improve glucose control and inflammation in type 2 diabetic patients with ischemic heart disease. ⋯ This systematic review may lead to several recommendations, for both patients and researchers, as which is the best therapy for type 2 diabetic patients with ischemic heart disease and how future studies need to be designed, considering what is available now and what is the reality of the patient.

Coronavirus disease in 2019 (COVID-19) is a sudden public event affecting all human beings, with the rapid transmission, extensive groups affected, many complications, and high mortality. Traditional Chinese Medicine has a long history of preventing and treating infectious diseases, and numerous studies have shown that Traditional Chinese Medicine, especially herbal medicine, has a positive effect on the prevention, treatment, and post-healing recovery of this COVID-19, and herbal medicines to supplement qi and blood often occupy a certain proportion of it. However, there is no relevant meta-analysis to date. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of qi and blood tonic herbal medicines in the treatment of COVID-19 through Systematic Review and meta-analysis to provide a reference basis for widespread clinical application. ⋯ CRD42022361822 (https://www.crd.york.ac.uk/prospero/display_record.php?ID=CRD42022361822).
