In vivo quantification of intervertebral motion through imaging has progressed to a point where biomarkers for low back pain are emerging. This makes possible deeper study of the condition's biometrics. However, the measurement of change over time involves error. The purpose of this prospective investigation is to determine the intrasubject repeatability of six in vivo intervertebral motion parameters using quantitative fluoroscopy. ⋯ Disc height and IV-RoM measurement using QF could be considered for randomised trials, while laxity, MSI and translation could be considered for moderators, correlates or mediators of patient-reported outcomes. MSV had both poor reliability and agreement over 6 weeks. These slides can be retrieved under Electronic Supplementary Material.

The aim was to (1) verify our previous finding that endplates (EPs) display load-induced T2-changes, (2) investigate whether vertebrae display load-induced T2-changes and (3) investigate whether EPs and vertebrae in LBP patients and controls display T2-differences during conventional unloaded MRI and axial loaded MRI (alMRI). ⋯ This study demonstrated significantly higher EP and vertebral T2-values in LBP patients in comparison with controls. In addition, alMRI induced significant T2-changes in the superior EPs for patients but not for controls. Importantly, the T2-differences between the groups may indicate that EPs and vertebrae in LBP patients have altered biodynamical characteristics compared to controls and the higher T2-values measured in patients may represent early inflammation or impaired nutritional transport. These slides can be retrieved from electronic supplementary material.

Postoperative thoracic and low back pain following endovascular aortic repair associated with stenting location.
We have noted that patients frequently complain of thoracic or low back pain after undergoing an endovascular aortic repair, which we speculated was caused by the indwelling stent. ⋯ Thoracic and low back pain after an endovascular aortic repair procedure were associated with stenting site.

Review Meta Analysis
A systematic review and meta-analysis of pain neuroscience education for chronic low back pain: short- and long-term outcomes of pain and disability.
Pain neuroscience education (PNE) has shown promising ability in previous reviews to improve pain and disability in chronic low back pain (CLBP). This review aimed to evaluate randomized controlled trials comparing the effectiveness of PNE on pain and disability in CLBP. ⋯ This review demonstrates moderate level evidence that the use of pain neuroscience education alongside physiotherapy interventions probably improves disability and pain in the short term in chronic low back pain. These results provide greater support for the addition of pain neuroscience education in routine physiotherapy practice in chronic low back pain.
