Uterine torsion with degeneration and infarction of giant leiomyoma in a postmenopausal woman: A case report.
Uterine torsion and giant leiomyoma are both rare diseases. Uterine torsion combined with giant leiomyoma with degeneration or infarction is easy to be misdiagnosed. We wrote this case to increase the accuracy and timeliness of medical staff's diagnosis and treatment of uterine fibroids combined with uterine torsion. ⋯ Although uterine torsion is extremely rare, early diagnosis and treatment are essential to prevent serious complications.

No studies have evaluated the interaction, quality, and reliability of chemotherapy-related videos published on YouTube. The aim was to evaluate the content of YouTube videos about chemotherapy using 5 different scoring tools. In this cross-sectional register-based study, popular videos on YouTube about the following keywords were examined; "chemotherapy," "what is chemotherapy," "types of chemotherapy," "chemotherapy side effects" and "chemotherapy treatments." Quality and reliability of video content were measured using the modified DISCERN (mDISCERN), the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), the Global Quality Score (GQS), the Video Information Quality Index (VIQI), and Health on the Net code (HONcode) scores. ⋯ There was a significant difference between video quality scores according to video categories and video publishers (P < .001 for both). Although most YouTube videos about chemotherapy were helpful to patients, content quality and reliability were moderate-low. Cancer patients looking for information on chemotherapy may find YouTube videos beneficial, but clinicians must be cautious to clear up any misunderstandings.

FLAIR-hyperintense lesions in anti-myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG)-associated encephalitis with seizures (FLAMES) is a rare clinical phenotype of anti-MOG; immunoglobulin G-associated disease is often misdiagnosed as viral encephalitis in the early stages. Anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) encephalitis is an autoimmune encephalitis caused by antibodies targeting the GluN1 subunit of the NMDAR. The coexistence of anti-NMDAR encephalitis and FLAMES is very rare. ⋯ When a patient with anti-NMDAR encephalitis or FLAMES is encountered in clinical practice, the coexistence of these diseases with double-positive anti-NMDAR and MOG antibodies should be considered and adopt appropriate evaluation and treatment.

The relationship between neuropathic pain and the outcomes of minimally invasive pain management in rotator cuff ruptures.
This study aimed to investigate how the presence of neuropathic pain related to partial rotator cuff tears affects the short-term results of subacromial injection and suprascapular nerve blockade therapy in patients with chronic shoulder pain. In this prospective observational study, shoulder pain via verbal numeric pain rating (VNPR, 0-10) and functional status through simple shoulder test (SST) were evaluated before and second week after procedure. After dividing as neuropathic pain and non-neuropathic pain groups, pre-procedural and follow-up scores concerning pain intensity, functional status, and whether there were those of patients with minimal clinically important change (MCIC) in areas of pain and function were evaluated. ⋯ An improvement was determined in pain intensity and functional status at the follow-up in both groups (P < .001). The improvement in pain intensity and functional status is poorer in patients with partial rotator cuff rupture-related neuropathic pain than in those without neuropathic pain. However neuropathic pain has no negative effect on the response to treatment.

To explore the safety and efficacy of Sofia Plus distal access catheter tip shaping for treatment of acute middle cerebral artery embolism. This single-center retrospective study involved patients eligible for acute embolic middle cerebral artery occlusion from January 2020 to October 2021. They were divided into a shaping and non-shaping group according to whether the Sofia Plus catheter tip was shaped intraoperatively. ⋯ The rates of a favorable outcome (57.7% vs 64.3%, P = .62) and postoperative symptomatic intracerebral hemorrhage (7.7% vs 3.6%, P = .60) were not significantly different between the groups. Sofia Plus catheter tip shaping improved catheter trafficability and reduced the operative time. It was safe and effective for treatment of acute middle cerebral artery thrombotic occlusion.
