To investigate the value of Anoctamin 6 (ANO6) in breast cancer (BC) by analyzing its expression, prognostic impact, biological function, and its association with immune characteristics. We initially performed the expression and survival analyses, followed by adopting restricted cubic spline to analyze the nonlinear relationship between ANO6 and overall survival (OS). Stratified and interaction analyses were conducted to further evaluate its prognostic value in BC. ⋯ Moreover, ANO6 was notably correlated with immune checkpoint expression levels, and scores of tumor mutation burden and microsatellite instability (all P < .05). ANO6 was an independent prognostic factor for BC, and might be a potential target for the BC treatment. Besides, ANO6 might affect BC progression via the regulation of stroma-related pathways and macrophage polarization.

Effects of technology-assisted rehabilitation for patients with hip arthroplasty: A meta-analysis.
To investigate the efficacy of technology-assisted rehabilitation compared to that of usual care programs after total hip arthroplasty (THA) through randomized controlled trials (RCTs). ⋯ The findings suggest that technology-assisted rehabilitation, especially telerehabilitation, have been shown to improve the physical function of patients following THA compared to conventional rehabilitation. More robust studies are needed to validate the long-term efficacy and safety of innovative technology-assisted training strategies.

Glypican-3 (GPC3), a membrane-bound heparan sulfate proteoglycan, has long been found to be dysregulated in human lung adenocarcinomas (LUADs). Nevertheless, the function, mutational profile, epigenetic regulation, co-expression profile, and clinicopathological significance of the GPC3 gene in LUAD progression are not well understood. In this study, we analyzed cancer microarray datasets from publicly available databases using bioinformatics tools to elucidate the above parameters. ⋯ We also found 11 TFs and 7 miRNAs interacting with GPC3 and contributing to disease progression. Finally, we identified 3 potential inhibitors of GPC3 in human LUAD, namely heparitin, gemcitabine and arbutin. In conclusion, GPC3 may play an important role in the development of LUAD and could serve as a promising biomarker in LUAD.

The fear of death associated with cancer and the side effects of its treatments can have a detrimental psychological impact on breast cancer patients. Early detection and support services play a crucial role in alleviating the expected symptoms of depression, anxiety, and sexual dysfunction. The objective of our study is to assess the levels of depression, anxiety, and sexual dysfunction in breast cancer patients, as well as identify the factors that influence these conditions. ⋯ Factors linked to higher scores were mastectomy, surgical dissatisfaction, insufficient information on sexual side effects, and comorbidities like smoking and diabetes. The study emphasizes the importance of closely monitoring anxiety, depression levels, and sexual side effects in breast cancer treatment. It underscores the need to focus not only on reducing mortality rates but also on supporting patients' psychological and sexual well-being, ultimately improving their overall quality of life.
