ReviewAdjuvant and neoadjuvant therapy for biliary tract cancer: a review of clinical trials.
Cancer originating in the biliary tract can be classified as bile duct cancer (cholangiocarcinoma), gallbladder cancer, or ampullary cancer. Bile duct cancer is further divided to intrahepatic, perihilar and distal bile duct subtypes according to the anatomical location of the tumor. The biological characteristics of each tumor are heterogeneous. ⋯ Several other studies of adjuvant therapy are ongoing, and they may lead to reforms in treatment strategy for resectable biliary tract cancer in the future. The use of neoadjuvant therapy for biliary tract cancer is in its infancy, but it is expected to overcome the limitations of adjuvant therapy for this malignancy. In this review, we summarized the evidence available from clinical trials of adjuvant and neoadjuvant therapy for biliary tract cancer and described ongoing clinical trials.

Literature review shows that Chinese medicine and other related treatment are still the main stream treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Currently, there is short of handbook guiding Chinese medicine from evidence-based medical evidence, so it is a top priority to develop a clinical guideline from the expert consensus. After several rounds of discussion during the conference and examination by letter, which has collected opinions from nearly one hundred experts, consensus was reached. ⋯ Chinese herbal medicine and Chinese patent medicine can be taken referring to syndrome differentiation which mainly includes syndromes of qi stagnation and blood stasis, cold dampness, deficiency of Gan (Liver) and Shen (Kidney), deficiency of qi and blood. Western medicine mainly includes analgesic, NSAIDs, diseases modifying drugs. Surgery procedures mainly include joint irrigation, arthroscopic surgery, osteotomy, arthroplasty, etc.

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory disease with a high prevalence in the population. Treatment options are both medical and surgical. Medical treatment is based on the use of antibiotics, retinoids, and anti-inflammatory drugs, in which anti-TNFα agents (infliximab y adalimumab) play a central role in the treatment of moderate-to-severe HS and enjoy the highest level of scientific support. ⋯ Due to the scarcity of clinical trials in HS, there is still no therapeutic guideline backed by solid evidence and the evidence for most drugs is low. However, early treatment in patients with HS would probably reduce the complications of this disease. This review analyses the distinct treatments used in this dermatological disease and provides a therapeutic algorithm with different treatment options.

[The cerebellum as a major player in motor disturbances related to Autistic Syndrome Disorders].
Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are neurodevelopmental disorders associated with disturbances in communication, social interactions, cognition and affect. ASD are also accompanied by complex movement disorders, including ataxia. A special focus of recent research in this area is made on the striatum and the cerebellum, two structures known not only to control movement but also to be involved in cognitive functions such as memory and language. Dysfunction within the motor system may be associated with abnormal movements in ASD that are translated into ataxia, abnormal pattern of righting, gait sequencing, development of walking, and hand positioning. This line of study may generate new knowledge and understanding of motor symptoms associated with ASD and aims to deliver fresh perspectives for early diagnosis and therapeutic strategies against ASD. ⋯ The "cognitive approach" has dominated ASD research for three decades and led to the design of interventional strategies, which have yielded satisfactory results. Nevertheless, new approaches and alternative hypotheses on the aetiology and diagnosis of ASD are needed. Research focused on motor rather than psychiatric symptoms may have a greater potential to elucidate the neurobiological basis of ASD.
