AbstractThe efficacy of diphenhydramine hydrochloride with epinephrine was tested against lidocaine with epinephrine in a double-blind study. Patients with allergic reactions to general local anesthetics were safely and effectively treated with diphenhydramine hydrochloride as an anesthetic alternative.
