AbstractDizziness and vertigo are frequent causes of presentation at the emergency room, with an incidence in the Vimercate district, Italy, close to 3.5%. The basic management of the "dizzy" patients in the emergency room includes a detailed history and an accurate physical/neurological examination, with the aim to identify "at risk" patients who require further diagnostic procedures and/or immediate admission to the hospital.
