AbstractCowden syndrome (multiple hamartoma syndrome) is characterized by multiple facial papules, gingival papillomas, acral keratoses, and other hamartomatous lesions. There is a high incidence of breast and thyroid carcinoma. Recognition of this syndrome may lead to the early diagnosis of cancer.
