AbstractLow-pressure tamponade is rare and little known with difficult clinical recognition. We report a case of this pathology in a patient admitted for abdominal severe sepsis. Pericardiocentesis led to identification of Salmonella typhimurium pericarditis. This case report emphasizes the clinical recognition difficulty and the interest of early fast echography in case of hemodynamic emergency.Copyright © 2012 Société française d’anesthésie et de réanimation (Sfar).
