    AbstractThe maintenance of bony length is of major importance in the management of lower limb injuries in which bone loss has occurred. We report a case of the successful use of a rigid intramedullary nail with transfixion screws (the Huckstep nail) after segmental loss of bone due to a gunshot injury.
