AbstractThe aim of this study was to compare pupils' and their parents' opinions of children nutrition behaviors. There were 97 pupils at the age of 10 and 87 parents participating in the study. Data was collected using questionnaire, filled by pupils and parents separately, including questions about: number and frequency of meals a day, frequency of fast food consumption and providing buying food in school shops. It was noted that parents' knowledge about children's nutrition behaviors was inadequate in comparison to pupils' declarations. School environment becomes important place to form health behaviors. It seems necessary to change nutrition policy in Polish schools by: changing of methods and teaching ranges of rational nutrition, improving school meals organization, changing assortment of food in school shops and regular education of people who are responsible for children nutrition behaviors.
