AbstractThe paper provides the results of a long-term study of morphofunctional health indices in children in an industrial town. In 1976-2001, there were negative changes in the children's health status, such in the parameters of physical development, in the prevalence of nervous, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and endocrine diseases in the area adjacent to the industrial zone of a town. The authors show it possible and expedient to use a medical and ecological questionnaire survey in the implementation of sociohygienic monitoring.
