ObjectiveThe various types of atrial septal defects (ASDs) can be differentiated on the basis of their imaging appearance on MDCT.ConclusionIt is fundamental for the cardiac imager to understand the embryologic development of the interatrial septum and the morphogenic differences of ASDs.
