    AbstractThis article describes the importance of self-leadership for health care workers. By continually evaluating and improving leadership skills, health care workers and organizations can develop a work environment that encourages individual growth and trains leaders for future success. After completing this article, the reader will be able to: Understand the impact values and emotions have on daily interaction. Recognize personal strengths and weaknesses through self-evaluation. Understand how emotional and personality profile tests aid in the self-discovery process. Explain the importance of physical and mental well-being. Understand the value of establishing a life-long leadership plan.
