AbstractPhotostimulable phosphor computed radiography (CR) is a developing and increasingly widespread technology. The purpose of this pictorial essay is to familiarize readers with the appearance and cause of image artifacts that can occur in a third-generation computed radiographic system. Artifacts are described that relate to imaging plates, image readers, image processing, and film processing.
