AbstractPre-analytical factors should be known and standardized to obtain reliable laboratory test result. If they could not be standardized they should be recognized. The specimen should be representative, properly collected, preserved, and labeled. It is also important to prevent any infection to the patients, the phlebotomists and the environment. The ideal is to get the right sample for the right test at the right time.
