    AbstractThe wide-ranging, multisystemic manifestations of sarcoidosis can make diagnosis and management difficult. Corticosteroid treatment is effective, but the optimal time to start, the dose, and the duration of treatment are controversial. We are just beginning to understand the genetic basis of sarcoidosis.
