AbstractThe critically illsurvivors with COVID-19 have Post-Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS) manifestations of varying degrees of physical, cognitive, and mental disorders after discharge from the Intensive Care Unit. Comprehensive respiratory rehabilitation interventions for patients are essential to minimize disability rate, reduce medical costs, and increase social participation. Integrated the existing treatment experience and relevant literature evidence, we recommend the evaluation and intervention of respiratory rehabilitation in the two stages of discharge ICUto ward and home. Based on Chinese experience, a PCCM physician-led multidisciplinary team management process was constructed. Personal protection recommendations were made based on the potential risk of infection among critically ill COVID-19 survivors.
