    AbstractA male patient is described who presented with thyrotoxicosis, and a large painful neck mass. From the excised mass and stomach aspiration Mycobacterium tuberculosis was cultured and a diagnosis of miliary tuberculosis was made. The thyrotoxicosis was attributed to tuberculous thyroiditis.
