    AbstractWe report five cases of phaeochromocytoma in patients admitted for myocardial infarction, severe cardiac failure, with shock, stroke and ischaemic gangrene of a lower limb respectively. The pathophysiology of these events is discussed. Early surgery prevents visceral damage from massive release of catecholamines.
