AbstractChronic ischemic gastropathy is a rare entity, being the atheroesclerotic vascular the most prevalent cause. Clinical and endoscopic manifestations are unspecific and may simulate more frequent pathologies. Cardiovascular risk factors allow us to diagnose and treat these patients earlier. We present the case of a patient with chronic ischemic gastropathy that manifested abdominal pain, weight loss and endoscopic findings as a simulator of linitis plastica. The diagnosis was made with an endoscopic block biopsy after two inconclusive biopsies.
