AbstractA potential breakthrough in the fight against malaria is the availability of a new promising tool, the R21/Matrix-M™ malaria vaccine that has shown an efficacy of 75% to protect young children against clinical malaria in different epidemiological settings. WHO recommends its deployment in addition to RTS,S/ASO1 and other effective interventions.
