AbstractIn this review of recent advances in nutrition, we shall follow the 'life cycle' with special attention to maternal and foetal nutrition, linear growth, and nutritional assessment. We also consider nutrition, infection and micronutrients, and recent concepts of the pathophysiology and management of protein energy malnutrition PEM.
