AbstractAcute appendicitis is the most common surgical abdominal pathology worldwide that requires immediate intervention. We report a 78-year-old patient who presented with acute appendicitis. A computed tomography (CT) of the abdomen and pelvis showed acute appendicitis due to appendiceal orifice obstruction from a migrated biliary stent. The condition was successfully treated nonoperatively with endoscopic stent removal, allowing his discharge 72 hours after his admission.
