AbstractAn aortic thrombus may be detected by using transesophageal echocardiography after an embolic event. Clinical features are variable and may include cardiac and neurologic symptoms, such as the stroke. We report a case of a woman with an acute ischemic stroke, a myocardial infarction and a free floating aortic thrombus.
