AbstractWe report the cases of four patients with testicular injury following blunt scrotal trauma, and present a system of classification for testicular injuries. One patient had a rupture of tunica albuginea and three had intratesticular haematomas. Two patients were operated on with uneventful postoperative courses. Two patients with intratesticular injury were not explored. Both testes atrophied. We fear that many testes atrophy because of damage caused by pressure of intratesticular bleeding. Qualified surgical evaluation shortly after testicular injuries is of utmost importance for the prognosis.
