    AbstractDamage control resuscitation attempts early, aggressive correction of trauma-induced coagulopathy in conjunction with interventions designed to achieve early surgical haemostasis and control of contamination. This article reviews the basis of damage control resuscitation and looks at implications for optimizing prognosis after trauma.
