AbstractSubtalar dislocations are rare injuries. They may cause serious complications in the long-term. A 27-year-old professional soldier developed medial subtalar dislocation of the right foot due to fall from height and was treated with closed reduction under general anesthesia and below-knee cast fixation for six weeks. At the end of a nine-year follow-up, he began complaining of occasional pain around his ankle. There was minimal loss in subtalar movements. He had no stiffness or instability. The ankle-hindfoot score was 90 according to the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society clinical rating system. It should be recalled that, following treatment of subtalar dislocations, some degree of loss may occur in subtalar movements.
