    AbstractIn this case report, we describe the use of dexmedetomidine as the sole anesthetic for four infants requiring general anesthesia for direct laryngoscopy and bronchoscopy with spontaneous ventilation. Surgical conditions were adequate and the hemodynamic and respiratory profiles of this technique are described.
