AbstractWe report the long-term results of combined surgical and radiological intervention in a patient with complicated aortic dissection, type-A. Following surgical graft-repair of a dissected part of the ascending aorta, embolization of the splenic artery, and stenting of the major abdominal arteries and of the left renal artery, was performed. The patient was able to return to normal active life, and all stented arteries remained patent after 32 months. A stent that was mispositioned across the aortic lumen did not cause any symptoms.
