    Session TitleCOPD Comorbidity PostersSESSION TYPE: Poster PresentationsPRESENTED ON: Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 01:15 PM - 02:15 PMPURPOSE: Evaluate the impact of lung disease(COPD) chronic obstructive in the quality of life of these patients in the province of Albacete.MethodsEpidemiological,observational,descriptive,transversal and multicenter study of diagnosed patients of COPD.Involving 209 patients of various urban and rural health centres.Collected socio-demographic and clinical data,functional respiratory parameters,labor,economic impact and familiar of COPD,questionnaire of quality of life(SF-12) and use drugs.Results69,4% are male;20,6% were age 65 and 79,4% who were 65 years of age. 67,4% are married or living as a couple;24,7% are widowers as. 53,6% had elementary school;23,9% read and write;13,4% secondary education;5,7% college degree means;2,4% whithout literacy and 1% graduate education. 56,9% are quitters;19,6% smokers and 23,4% have never smoked. 23,4% are mild COPD;41,6% moderate COPD;25,8% of severe COPD and 9,1% very severe COPD. Physical limitation for COPD: 10,5% grade I;40,2% grade II;25,8% grade III;14,8% grade IV and 8,6% grade V. 62,7% had reduced the time to work .62,2% they acknowledged leaving some task. 59,8% had difficulty to perform their work. They changed their habits or customs:10% no importance;40,7% low importance;28,2% moderate importance;14,8% high importance and 6,2% very high importance. The 19,1% had emotional problems. Difficulty in social activities: 15,8% almost always;26,3% sometimes;20,6% only once and 30,1% never. 28,2% used beta 2 short inhaled;52,6% used anticholinergic inhaled;78% did not use steroids inhaled;79,4% used combinations of these drugs;67% taking antihypertensive. 56,9% taking mucolytics as an adjunctive treatment.ConclusionsMost patienst with COPD are smokers and quitters retired,living with your partnere and have low educational level. Older increases the physical limitation and the State of gravity. The mental side of patients is altered with greater social isolation. COPD affects the employment situation of patients not retired and modifies their customs.Clinical ImplicationsThe spirometry is very important.
