    AbstractThe US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has revised its recommendations for screening for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) (MMWR Recomm Rep 2006; 55(RR14):1-17) and now recommends HIV screening for all patients age 13 to 64 years in all health care settings, including hospital emergency departments, urgent care clinics, inpatient services, sexually transmitted disease clinics, tuberculosis clinics, and primary care offices.
