    AbstractHypothermia and immunosuppressive drugs may promote surgical wound infection. We successfully performed an emergency total arch replacement with mild hypothermia and selective cerebral perfusion for a renal transplant recipient. The postoperative course was almost uneventful without any surgical site infection.
