AbstractThe influence of pyridinolcarbamate (parmidine) on raising the tonicity of bronchial and intestinal muscles in guinea pigs, and also on the edema of the paw in rats, induced with bradykinin was studied. Parmidin displays a specific antibradykinin activity and mitigates the effects of bradykinin in all the objects under investigation, without exercising any influence on the spasmogenic action of histamine, serotonin and acetylcholine.
