AbstractSelf-contained underwater breathing apparatus (SCUBA) diving continues to gain popularity. General practitioners need to know the health requirements and contraindications so they can counsel patients appropriately. SCUBA diving injuries may not be apparent immediately and require knowledge and understanding for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
