AbstractWe present an atypical case of retrouterine gangrenous perforated appendicitis with Douglas abscess in a 33-year-old woman, with clinical picture developing over two weeks. Laparotomy and appendectomy with abdominal drainage and antibiosis were performed and resulted in complete recovery.
