Perspectives on HIV Self-Testing Among Key and Affected Populations in Kenya.
Kenya's Key and Affected Populations (KAP) - men who have sex with men (MSM), female sex workers, people who inject drugs (PWID), and young women aged 18-24 - often experience stigma and discrimination in Kenyan health care settings due to their identity and/or behaviors, which can deter facility-based testing for HIV. Kenya has promoted self-testing as a means to reach these communities. ⋯ Kenya should ensure that human rights are promoted and respected through implementing rights-based policies and practices for HIV self-testing, including pre- and post-test counseling.

Umbilical granuloma frequency of newborns in Third-line Hospital in Turkey.
The aim is to determine the umbilical granuloma frequency of newborns and etiological factors. ⋯ Umbilical granuloma, with frequency of 3.83% in newborns. Umbilical granuloma is more common in girls and newborns bathed before the umbilical cord seperation.

Prevalence of echocardiographic left atrial enlargement among hypertensive Nigerian subjects.
Left atrial enlargement (LAE) predispose to arrhythmias, atrial thrombogenesis and cardioembolic stroke. Whether LAE constitute a major risk among African hypertensive subjects is not well described. This study was aimed to describe the epidemiologic pattern of LAE among hypertensive subjects and determine their correlates. ⋯ LAE is common among Nigerian hypertensive subjects. Age, waist circumference, left ventricular wall dimension and mass index are the important correlates of LAE in hypertensive Nigerians.

Regulation of male sex hormones strongly heightens copulation behavior indices in rat's model administered Cocos nucifera husks extract.
Cocos nucifera (Coconut, Arecaceae family) is consumed as dietary fruit but little is known of it as sex enhancer. ⋯ C. nucifera husks extract improves sexuality indices by regulating male sex hormones in male Wistar rats.
