Endovascular management is used to treat Takayasu arteritis (TA) involving the supra-aortic branches. However, the long-term outcome of this treatment remains unclear. Here, technical safety, outcomes, and restenosis management of supra-aortic arteries in TA patients receiving endovascular treatment were evaluated. ⋯ Endovascular treatment of supra-aortic arteries of TA patients was safe and effective, yet was associated with a high restenosis rate. Thus, close follow-up is needed. HR-VWI is helpful for pre-procedural selection of patients for percutaneous angioplasty and stenting and drug-eluting balloon angioplasty appears to be a promising treatment for refractory in-stent restenosis.

Endoscopes increase the expediency of transcanal middle ear surgery. However, the application of a 70° endoscope is limited and seldom discussed, mainly because of its large angle. We introduce our experiences with the 70° endoscope in transcanal middle ear surgery. ⋯ With the help of a 70° endoscope, we can use the transcanal transperforation route to evaluate and reconstruct drum perforations and ossicular chains in appropriate patients. Hence, normal tissue injuries to the ear canal can be minimized.

The rapid spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in many countries has caused inconvenience in conducting daily life activities, and even deaths. Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid applied in clinical medicine since 1957, especially in immune therapy fields. Herein, we present the characteristics of Dexamethasone, from molecular mechanisms such as genomic and nongenomic pathways by cellular signal regulations, to clinical applications in various phases of the disease. During COVID-19 pandemic, Dexamethasone given to patients who required oxygen or ventilation therapy showed improved life efficacy.
