Resuscitation incoherence and dynamic circulation-perfusion coupling in circulatory shock.
Poor tissue perfusion/cellular hypoxia may persist despite restoration of the macrocirculation (Macro). This article reviewed the literatures of coherence between hemodynamics and tissue perfusion in circulatory shock. ⋯ The concept of RI and dynamic circulation-perfusion coupling should be considered in the management of circulatory shock. Moreover, these concepts require further studies in clinical practice.

We aimed to provide an updated analysis of the therapeutic value of levosimendan in adult patients with sepsis and septic shock, in order to provide evidence-based medical evidence for its use. ⋯ Based on current clinical evidence, levosimendan does not reduce mortality in adult critically ill patients with sepsis and septic shock. Physicians should use levosimendan with caution in patients with sepsis and septic shock.

Multicenter StudyPredictive accuracy of Sepsis-3 definitions for mortality among adult critically ill patients with suspected infection.
Sepsis-3 definitions have been published recently; however, their diagnostic value remains controversial. This study was to assess the accuracy of Sepsis-3 definitions compared to Sepsis-1 definitions by stratifying mortality among adult critically ill patients with suspected infection. ⋯ In adult critically ill patients with suspected infection, the Sepsis-3 definitions were relatively accurate in stratifying mortality and were superior to the Sepsis-1 definitions.
