Case Reports"Floating popliteus tendon injury" in a mutiple-ligament knee injury: one case report and arthroscopy-assisted reconstruction.
A patient with both a femoral attachment injury (peel-off injury) and musculotendinous junction avulsion of the popliteus, a so-called “floating popliteus tendon injury”, received arthroscopy-assisted popliteus reconstruction. The injured ligaments were addressed in the same procedure, including mini-open direct repair of the femoral avulsed fibular collateral ligament (FCL), suture repair of the grade 3 medial collateral ligament (MCL), and reconstruction of the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL).

Review Case ReportsCerebral lipiodol embolism following transcatheter arterial chemoembolization for hepatocellular carcinoma: a report of two cases and literature review.
Cerebral lipiodol embolism (CLE) is an extremely rare complication of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization for hepatocellular carcinoma. To our knowledge, only 11 cases have been previously reported. ⋯ The presence of a right-to-left shunt and inferior phrenic artery injection seems to increase the risk of CLE. More caution should be taken in these situations.

Meta AnalysisKnee function after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with patellar or hamstring tendon: a meta-analysis.
There is currently no consensus regarding the best graft type for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the effects of patellar and hamstring tendon grafts on long-term knee function after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. ⋯ Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using patellar or hamstring tendon grafts results in similar long-term knee function.

A new modified forked flap and a reverse V shaped flap for secondary correction of bilateral cleft lip nasal deformities.
The columella, nasal tip, lip relationship in the bilateral cleft lip nasal deformity remains a great challenge for plastic surgeon. An esthetically satisfying result is difficult to obtain. A subset of patients with bilateral cleft lip nasal deformity still require columellar lengthening and nasal correction and philtrial construction. This study aimed to provide a new method based on the forked flap to improve the final appearance of these patients. ⋯ This method makes maximum use of the tissue containing the scar in the lip and limits tissues in the lower portion of the columella and the prolabium for adequate columella elongation and reconstruction with normal size philtrial dimensions. It is a very reasonable and useful method in correction of secondary bilateral cleft lip nasal deformities.

Cyclooxygenase-2 promoter polymorphism -899G/C is associated with hepatitis B-related liver cancer in a Chinese population of Gansu province.
Hepatitis B virus infection is closely related to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) is overexpressed in HCC and considered to play a role in hepatic carcinogenesis. In this study, we analyzed the polymorphism of COX-2 promoter -899G/C in healthy controls, chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients, liver cirrhosis patients, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients, to investigate the relationship between COX-2 -899G/C polymorphism and the risk for hepatitis B-related liver cancer in a Chinese population from Gansu province. ⋯ COX-2 -899C genotype may increase the susceptibility of individuals to hepatitis B-related liver cancer in Gansu province, China.
